5S-method
A five-step systematic method to achieve a clean and well-organized work area. It is a key element of the continuous improvement process. The five steps and their basic principles are categorized as follows:
Sort: Clear the work area.
Set in order: Designate locations.
Shine: Cleanliness and workplace appearance.
Standardize: Everyone does things the same way.
Sustain: Ingrain the 5S's into the culture.
