Airborne particle
A liquid or solid particle which does not sediment as a result of molecular motion, airflow patterns and / or kinetic energy. It therefore remains in the air for a longer period of time than the statistical average and may stray far from its point of origin. In some cases, airborne particles can be confined using a directed airflow and / or encapsulation.
