Clean workbench
Also minienvironment. A localized area with a higher cleanliness grade than the environment. In general, an encapsulated (see housing) manual workstation with its own clean air technology to prevent the entry of airborne particles. For automated stations, the term minienvironment has become established in cleanroom technology.
